A travers un échange entre leurs expériences respectives de terrain, d’écritures et de lectures, Emmanuelle Honoré, préhistorienne, et Renaud Ego, écrivain, font part de leurs regards croisés sur les traces de temporalités présentes sur des parois rupestres de plusieurs régions d’Afrique. L’occasion de mettre en lumière l’importance qu’elles revêtent sur la perception qu’en font nos sociétés, mais aussi de souligner les frustrations que peuvent engendrer les limites des outils d’analyse « classiques » des archéologues.

Abstract:
Singular spaces of times: Crossing views on the rock art of the Sahara and Southern Africa
Through an exchange based on their own field experiences, writings and readings, Emmanuelle Honoré, prehistorian, and Renaud Ego, writer, share their crossed views on the evidence of timeframes found on the rock art panels of several regions of Africa. This dialogue is also the opportunity to highlight the importance they have on the perception of time by our societies, but also to highlight the frustrations that may arise from the limitations of the “classical” analysis tools of archaeologists.
