Résumé
Cet article met en lumière une recherche menée par Eddy Terki dans le cadre d’un Master 2 à l’EnsAD de Paris. Il s’agissait de travailler sur le lien entre le corps et l’espace durant l’acte d’écriture via l’expérimentation plastique. Quel rôle joue la main pour l’humain ? Quel moyen d’expression représente-elle ? La main n’est-elle pas l’outil qui crée le pont entre une intention précise et un geste ? La main est le point de départ du travail, l’amenant peu à peu à impliquer le corps durant l’acte d’écriture. De ce fait, l’échelle du travail évolue pour quitter la page et se confronter à l’espace. Comment le corps s’exprime et s’adapte sous la contrainte d’un espace ? Comment un espace devient-il un support d’écriture ? Comment le corps devient-il lui-même producteur de formes ? Ce passage à l’espace public amène dans sa recherche de nouvelles contraintes liées au contexte spatial. Pour aborder ces questions, il a été choisi d’investir un espace qui semble négligé par la municipalité : les berges du canal. Ainsi exploité, ce lieu devient un moyen d’ôter la banalité d’un espace et d’en faire un support d’écriture.

Abstract :
From the hand to sauce
This paper synthesises a one-year academic research made in the framework of a Masters degree at the EnsAD of Paris that considered the link between body and space during the act of writing through the plastic experimentation. What role does the hand play for man? Which way of expression does it represent ? Cannot it be seen as the tool which creates the link between a precise intention and a movement? In this acception the hand is the starting point of this work from which the body gets gradually involved during the act of writing. Therefore, the scale of this work changes to leave the page and be confronted to space. How does body expression adapt to the restrictions of a space? How does a space become a support of writing? How does the body itself become a producer of forms? This change to public place brings new restrictions bound to the spatial context. To consider these issues, a seemingly discounted place was selected: the docks of a canal. So exploited, this place becomes a way to remove the commonness of a space and turns it into a support of writing.
